Yum! I ordered takeout here (2 special rolls) and they were well-packed with separate containers of wasabi, soy sauce, and pickled ginger (and of course a napkin and set of chopsticks). The place is on Roosevelt, just down from Whole Foods and has intimate booths as well as a sushi bar. I love sashimi, but also want some good rolls and appreciate more creative roll options, so I went down the list of nearby sushi places until I found Sushi Tokyo and checked out their menu. They have over 5 sections of rolls - Traditional, Tempura, Special, Vegetarian, Baked, and Hand! It was hard to choose, they sounded amazing. I'm wary of rolls that have a lot of sauce on top and thought that they were reserved with the rolls I ordered, though I probably wouldn't have objected to more since it was so tasty! The rolls were warm and fresh and so good. I can't wait to try them all! :)

Gas station sushi for gourmet prices. I just got a very small combo for like $30 and it was so gross I couldn't even eat half of it.

They should be ashamed of themselves to sell food like this for such high prices.

Huge letdown. The rolls barely held together! it was like someone was making sushi for the first time in their life.

Nowhere near as good as grocery store rolls. Skip this place!

Came here for lunch and got super lucky that they opens Saturday for lunch! Order two rolls and four sashimi. Along with calamari and two hand rolls. The hand roll were filled with so much stuff I was super happy. I have never seen a sushi place do that. The calamari could have been cooked in a different batter but it was still good. The two rolls have so much meat in them. We were full half way. The tea wasn't that hot however that is the way I like my tea.

I decided to return and give this place another chance, but I am still very disappointed. This time around I dined in. The interior is nice and very clean. I ordered the I love sashimi large, space needle roll, olive roll, and kiss of the dragon roll. The sashimi was very good. It tasted fresh and had a good amount of variety. My favorite roll was the Seattle roll. The crispy onion on top were a great compliment. These were the highlights.

I was very happy with the first half of the meal until the other two rolls. The olive roll was good. The seared fish on top was delicious. However, I did find a HUGE piece of fish bone. I have eaten a lot of sushi and I have NEVER had a fish bone before. It was very SHARP, but thankfully I didn't bite hard since it would have definitely pierced my tongue. After that I became a bit paranoid and hesitant while eating the remaining pieces thinking that there would be another fish bone. That completely ruined the experience. The kiss of the dragon was a bit bland. Eel is my favorite so I was excited to see that there. But once again and just like last time, the eel was super chewy and rubbery. I had to spit it out. Like I said, I've eaten a lot of sushi, and this is by far the worst eel I've had.

I would like to give this place three stars, but the fish bone and rubber eel just brushed me the wrong way. Combined with my first experience, I just don't think I can give it more stars. Two times I've tried and both times I've been disappointed. I don't think I'll be returning here and I would not recommend this place.
